Are You an Independent Artist?
We Are an Independent Residency.
This is not for everyone.
If you are looking for a fully-funded, corporate-sponsored or government funded residency, INSTINC is not the right fit. We are an independent, artist-run institution, and we make no apologies for it. Our independence is our strength. It guarantees that the art created here is driven by vision, not by committee. It ensures that our space remains a laboratory for bold, innovative, and challenging work.
What We Are:
* Self-Sustaining: We require artists to be resourceful and secure their own funding, just as we are resourceful and self-sustaining.
* Artist-Centric: Founded by an artist, for artists. We understand your needs because we share your passion.
* Globally Recognized: With a network of over 120 international alumni, our reputation is built on a foundation of successful residencies and powerful exhibitions.
We are looking for artists who are as serious about their independence as we are.
