Bains::Connective is an artistic laboratory since 1997. A home for long-term residencies in the fields of music, dance, visual arts and others. Set in a former public swimming pool, Shih Yun spend two months in one of the many rooms in the pool and transformed it into her studio.

She created these 60cm by 50cm works on paper. Limited herself to 3 colours, blue, sepia and olive green. Black and white.

This series of works is looser than her former works, but retains her signature boldness. Positive and negative space is well played out. Inspired by the former swimming pool, this series of works explores lightness, and the fluidity and flow of the inks.
Created July-Sept 2008 in Bains:Connective in Brussels, Belgium.
With the support of Bains:Connective and National Art Council.
