Painting with Music
Music is the main catalyst. Music is the voice of the world. It speaks universal tones. Wassily Kandinsky was one of the first modern artists who painted abstract shapes to express feelings, rather than creating pictures of objects and people. Kandinsky loved music, especially classical music. Often when he painted, he would listen to music and try to paint what the music made him feel. In this workshop, participants will try your hands at Chinese painting using Chinese ink while listening to different types of music. During this workshop, the instructor will prepare different music from different time period, from Satie to music that inspired Kandinsky to moby and ended with Chinese pop singer Faye Wong. This workshop was conducted in Miyazaki Art Center before.
